As the Scripture says, "Anyone who trusts in him will never be put to shame." For there is no difference between Jew and Gentile--the same Lord is Lord of all and richly blesses all who call on him, for, "Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved."
How, then, can they call on the one they have not believed in? And how can they believe in the one of whom they have not heard? And how can they hear without someone preaching to them? And how can they preach unless they are sent? As it is written, "How beautiful are the feet of those who bring good news!"
T
he transformation of our lives to be like Christ is what our Triune God desires from us (Rm. 12:2). One vital setting for this transformation is the small group fellowship. I John 1:3-7 teaches us that the foundation of fellowship with one another is our fellowship with the Father and His Son, and our fellowship with the Father and the Son transforms our lives. This is the mission of the small groups.
In a church of our size, it is a challenge to have meaningful fellowship with one another. Small groups provide a natural
setting and an opportunity for the people of God to get to know one another intimately and to develop lasting friendships. Relationships in small groups provide a context for us to support, encourage, confess sin to one another, and even gently and lovingly confront one another’s sin.
Small groups consist of 4 to 12 people committed to Biblical fellowship. The small group meeting typically consists of study
(Bible, Christian study book, topical book, or sermon discussion), sharing, prayer, and desert or meal. Many groups on occasion do social activities such as a picnic, dinner, movie … etc. We encourage each participant to commit to a minimum of 3 months, but if a particular small group is found to be not right for an individual then we can help them find another more suitable small group. The church has three small group ministries: HOME Groups, Men’s Small Groups, and Women’s Small Groups. Each plays a significant role in transforming people’s lives and ministering to their needs.
